I had a similar problem with a motorhome several years ago and ended up having to push the van to start it or park it on a hill. I ended up removing the battery and engine earth straps, cleaning the terminals coating the terminals with petroleum jelly and refitting them, that sorted out the problem.

Glow plugs changed (beru) and checked. Fuel lines changed from primer bulb (incl) to filter and then to pump. Leak off lines changed also. Still can't start the car. Run the battery flat 3 times bleeding air. The problem seems to be no fuel getting to injectors.Feb 18, 2022. #1. My 1997 1.9TD Ducato based motorhome has a problem with the immobiliser. I have had the immobiliser recoded, along with a new blue key, but the code light still shows, when I try to start the engine. The immobiliser section in the vehicle sends an AC signal at about 125 kHz (a low radio frequency) to the "reader" antenna coil mounted around the key opening in the lock barrel.

Having spent a day trying to find the problem I can rule out starter motor as on removing it and checking; it runs fine. Seems no power signal is getting from the ecu to the solenoid. Ignition switch seems OK turning it energises the various relays but nothing to the solenoid.Argyll, Scotland. Aug 4, 2011. #1.
