Sport Optics (no affiliation just a satisfied customer) has good prices on the Meopta scopes and run sales regularly. The 4-20x50 runs in the mid to high $400 range and the 3-18x56 is $650-$700 depending on options. They are not the lightest scope around but I have used Meopta for years and have had very good reliability out of mine.

The Optika5 4-20x50 is $399 on Optics Planet. The VX-5HD is $1499 on Optics Planet. Iā€™m all about buy Made in USA, but if the Optika5 is made with Schott glass, and isnā€™t manufactured in China, then Iā€™d really wonder what I was paying for with the Leupold.

I ended up with a scope that not only checks pretty much every box for that use, but that I'd also be happy with on even a big-game rifle: the Meopta 2-10x42 PA.
