Ithink that unfortunately it must be in the gearbox area! (Edit:- that logic comes from realising that it is a "clutch sensor" not a "clutch pedal position sensor" ) Some people have said that the B8 does not have a clutch switch. That seems a bit strange. I have found part numbers for the B7 (7H0 927 189) but not the B8.

Lookingfor Air Conditioning help. I have a 2006 A6 3.2. Tried using the AC the other day and hot air came out. I scanned HVAC Module 08 and saw the following code: 00256 - A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor (G395) 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent I tried adding refrigerant with a can of R134 from the parts store and the Sensor& o-ring codes: 4H0 959 126B & 7H0 820 896
A4(B8 Platform) Discussion - 2.0T coolant sensor location - I am trying to resolve a P2181 code by replacing the coolant sensor. I know this question has been
P2181Engine Coolant Temp Sensor. All: I got this code and atemdpted to t=replce the sensors first. My problem was the temperature gauge was not working properly, however the heat is working properly and the car is not overheating. I replaced one of the sensors the 06A-919-510-A however the tech at the Audi dealership said the one OutsideTemperature Sensor. I recently bought a 98 A4 Quattro with the 2.8L. I am having a problem with the outside temperature sensor. When I first turn in on in the morning, it will display the correct temp and slowly drop down to -49. I normally wouldn't care, but that unit seems to also affect the interior temperature.
Im wondering if anyone has any info, from part numbers, costs, location of the sensor and how to fix. Even odb2 scanner you use that may give me part numbers. 3 Failing Water Pump. After the coolant temp sensor and the bad thermostat, the third most common cause of a high coolant temperature reading is a failing water pump. A water pump is a critical part of your Audi’s cooling system because it is responsible for circulating the coolant through the engine and back to the radiator. Giventhat I have a right-hand drive car, and the G395 is on the left-hand side of the car in front of the radiator. LIN cable from the sensor allegedly goes to socket T17o, pin 16 (RIGHT A PILLAR coupling station), then from T17i pin 16, (LEFT A PILLAR coupling station) to Socket C pin 4 of the J519 controller which is back on the Right side!
