Tried a method that actually does re enable origin which allows cloud saves, (it's tricky to setup) and I even deleted all of the cloud saves because I wanted to just start a new game and I turned off the cloud but even with that, it was a fail. I found the solution, what you have to do is enter the folder where the steam games are and copy the one that says Jedi Fallen Order, then look for the folder that says EA Games and paste the Fallen Order folder, it worked for me and it gave me all the achievements that I had pending, I hope it works for you.

Version 3.0. I wouldn't call it "incredibly frustrating", but yes, I certainly noticed this issue. I don't think the maps were quite big enough to necessitate a fast travel system, in fact, I think that might even detract from the game. But a simple "call the ship to pick me up" option might've been a nice compromise.
