The canon 32mm /1.4 is by far the best lens you can get for this system, and is equivalent to a ~51mm f/2.24 on full frame, so you get pretty decent separation. Shooting wide open with this and to a lesser extent the Sigma 56, is super easy and enjoyable. Both the 22 and 32 have 43mm filter threads so that's nice.
The 55-200 STM is noticeably smaller than the EF-S 55-250 STM lens. The EF-S lens is reasonably compact and light, but is an inch longer (4.38”/111.2mm), thicker around, and weighs a third more (375g). To use it on the M3, though, one must also add another inch in length for the EF Adapter along with another 110g of weight.

The Canon EOS Rebel T8i (also known as the EOS 850D or Kiss X10i in some markets) is a 24MP DSLR camera that is compatible with the company's EF and EF-S mount lenses. It has an optical viewfinder, but it also has a usable and responsive touchscreen interface and live view experience that's a match for the company's mirrorless camera options.
For Canon EF-S Mount: 26mm. Canon EF-M Mount: 18mm. For Canon RF Mount: 20mm Canon EF Vs EF-S Lenses You can use Canon EF lenses on both Canon Full-frame and APS-C DSLR camera bodies. But, you can use Canon EF-S lenses only with Canon APS-C DSLR cameras. It is one of the major differentiating factors. Canon introduced the EF mount back in 1987, and the company has created over 80 EF and EF-S lenses. There are also differences in the quality of the lenses. Some reviewers say that the EF-S lenses are superior to the M lenses. Yes, they all work fine. I have a Meike one and, apart from being plastic and not metal, I can't find any difference. Alan. The Crop Factor means that what you see through the viewfinder is more than actually gets captured by the sensor by a ratio of 1:1.6. I understand that the rear of the EF-S lens is closer to the mirror and, therefore the sensor, than the rear of the EF lens, which leads me to think that the image seen through the viewfinder with an EF-S lens is
EF-M stands for Electro-focus mirrorless and is a dedicated lens mount for Canon's compact system cameras, the EOS M-series. EOS M cameras accept EF-M lenses directly. EF and EF-S lenses can also be used on these cameras via Mount Adapter EF-EOS M. Learn more about the different lens systems and compatibility. Canon designed the EF-S lens mount specifically for their APS-C “crop” sensor cameras like the 7D and T6i. EF-S lenses extend deeper into the camera’s body to get closer to the sensor. This makes EF-S lenses incompatible with Canon’s full-frame cameras like the 5D and 6D, as the lens’ rear protrusion would come into contact with the

In summary, EF lenses are compatible with both Canon full-frame and APS-C cameras, while EF-S lenses are only compatible with Canon APS-C cameras. When using EF lenses on an APS-C camera, the smaller sensor will crop the image and effectively increase the focal length of the lens. EF-S lenses are designed specifically for APS-C cameras and do

If you use an APS-C EOS camera, you probably already own EF-S/RF-S lenses, which are designed for the smaller APS-C sensor. It’s important to know that: - EF-S lenses can’t be attached to full-frame EOS DSLRs. - RF-S and full-frame RF lenses can be attached to any EOS R system camera regardless of the sensor size, no adapter needed.
I SO agree with that. I have reluctantly done a couple of wedding, gratis, for friends or friends of friends and they are a minefield of challenges - sometimes the least of which are to do with photography.

Dust- and Water-Resistant. Extending the range of compatible lenses, the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R is a lightweight, compact lens adapter designed for attaching any EF or EF-S-mount lens to the EOS R mirrorless digital camera. This simple adapter retains full autofocus and image stabilization capabilities and contains no optical components
